The first day of Gamescom is just around the corner, and we can’t even think of the show being over, but Funcom already has some plans for us in the following week: Dune: Awakening Direct – Episode 3 will air Thursday, August 29th, at 6PM CEST / 12PM ET.
Update: Dune: Awakening Direct Episode 3 will be particularly engaging for those not attending Gamescom, as it is being filmed on-site at the event. Hosts Joel Bylos and Soe Gschwind will provide an in-depth analysis of the newly extended gameplay, offering detailed insights into critical game features such as the hydration system, desert survival mechanics, spice harvesting, and the effects of spice consumption.
The recent Dune: Awakening livestream (see above) covered several key aspects of the game. It began with a cinematic story trailer focusing on the vision of Paul Atreides. Creative Director Joel Bylos discussed the game’s alternate history, while Senior Narrative Designer Léa Talbot explored narrative depth and spirituality post-Fremen. Producer Nils Ryborg detailed character customization tools, and the live stream concluded with insights into the MMO’s unique server structure and Overland map, highlighting what sets the game apart in the MMO genre.
