Dune: Awakening will be at Gamescom 2024 Events News

Dune: Awakening to Reveal First Live Gameplay at Gamescom’s Public Booth

Funcom has announced that Dune: Awakening will reveal its first live gameplay at Gamescom 2024. The event will take place from Wednesday, August 21, to Sunday, August 25, in Cologne, Germany. This will be the first time the game is played live in public, offering a highly anticipated look at the immersive world of Arrakis.

While fans have known since Summer Game Fest that a big gameplay reveal would happen at Gamescom, it has now been confirmed that the game will be featured at the public booth and shown live, as well. Unlike previous reveals, which featured handpicked gameplay footage explicitly cut for trailers and the Dune: Awakening Direct live stream, this live gameplay demonstration will not be restricted to press-only, behind-closed-doors sessions. Attendees will have the chance to see the game in action at Funcom‘s booth in the public area, where it will be demoed live for fans. This promises to be the most extensive showing of the game ever.

Looking back at events like PAX East 2024, fans can look forward to more than just gameplay. Funcom‘s booth may feature giveaways, opportunities to meet developers and cosplayers bringing the world of Dune: Awakening to life, and even on-stage interviews.

Additionally, it is likely that Dune: Awakening will showcase new gameplay footage or even host a livestream at Gamescom, offering a glimpse into the game for fans unable to attend the event in person.

Funcom has stated that more details about its booth will be shared as Gamescom approaches.

Dune: Awakening currently has no release date yet, but it is set to be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. For more updates on the game and Gamescom 2024, stay tuned to our website.
